To come back to this, with regards to spider-lings not being able to differentiate between prey items and each other (brother and sister) that is not completely true, if you have to look at
H.incei communal or any communal for that matter.
If you study and watch the spiders movements you will see they walk and behave differently than they would on there own.
They also rely on touch, and once they have grown accustomed to living in a group they don't just grab and byte, they first touch the item that is moving, if it is another spider it will touch them back or stop moving.
Prey items feel, move and smell differently.
Yes' you will still get the odd spider that gets eaten due to molting, or doing the wrong thing.
I also think if you you actually left the egg sack with mommy you will get a different result all together,
