I have been doing some surfing/and research to try pin piont why it happens what causes it. but the main answer given in to most questions asked, is that the molt process is "interrupted" in a sense.

"As the new exuvium formed (along with the hairs) fluid leaked between the two layers (old and new) and caused the hairs to not form. It's called a "wet molt""

Has your spider molted out since you got it like that?

If I remember right, RobC is suspecting a diet which is too high in calcium might cause a wet moult.

Insects are naturally low in calcium, unless coated with calcium powder for reptiles or fed a calium-rich gut-load diet, and vertebrates like mice and lizards also contain a lot of calcium in their bones.

No , I hope it's soon. I was thinking that shipping him in a small container with dry toilet paper might have caused him to rub the hair loose before he got a hard skin. Eish Eish
