Sorry to hear about your loss.

My mistake was using superglue to stick the plastic plants to a base. I did this in 4 enclosures, only 1 spider was affected and died within 24 hours after exposure.

Sorry to hear Rumor... its sucks ... even more afterthe los of a poki.

As far as mites go it should not be the cause of your tarantulas death.

You will find that with most T's(More so with swamp dwellers) there will almost always be some mites in your enclosures.

When you start getting a infestation of the critters in your enclosure thats when the problem starts.
When life gives you lemons, wing them right back and add some lemons of your own.
