I'm not talking specifically about P subfusca, hybridisation in general annoys me and 'new' people could really mess the hobby up by practicing it!

You can take an Aphonopelma to crickets but you can't make it eat!

Currently as it stands they ARE the same species.... doesn't mean it will stay that way does it?

I agree with you. Still, the only way to sort this once and for all is to get DNA samples from both and do a comparison, if there is one to be made.

And by the same standard, people can mess up the hobby from someone dying after being bitten by a calceatum!

By that same argument, DNA testing could split lots of other spiders into seperate species.

Taki and I would therefore like to suggest that no one breed any spiders until we can do testing on both the male and female that you intend to mate. Once we have the results you will have permission to breed them.
