I use love palms in several of my arboreal enclosures. What you do is keep the plant in the area where your enclosures are, so it can get used to the amount of light it will be exposed to. During this time you can daily spray the plant all over, basically washing it from the insecticides that might have come in contact with it while at the nursery. After about two weeks it should be safe to place in your enclosure with the spiders. I have had no incidents of poisoning my spiders, but it is a risk you need to try and avoid.

I have cork bark tubes in my enclosures too, but I got them from actual cork trees, cutting off pieces and leaving it to dry for about two months. Getting the bark off of the wood is a little bit of a ordeal. I cut right through the bark from top to bottom on the one side of the tube, then it take careful work getting the wood out without breaking the bark.

Also haven't found pathos anywhere... ?

Okay I think this topic has been discussed before but I won't mind repeating myself

The Golden pothos are called "Scindapsus Marble Queen". Make a terrarium or vivarium just for plants you would like to use in your enclosure. I had to use two coco peat bricks to fill it up enough. Get some "Supra stix 5:1:5 (22)" for using in the terrarium you are going to plant your live plants in before they move to their permanent location. Water the plant in the pot and pull off the pot, now run tap water over everything to wash off the compost, and soil. Plant each Scindapsus Marble Queen in the live plant Terrarium, and add a full length Supra stix just below the roots. You will loose all the leaves or just some because of the dramatic change of soil, but keep your eyes on the roots as they will start forming all over and soon you will have green leaves all over the show. The Scindapsus Marble Queen has now doubled in my terrarium as I had no need for them yet, and they also killed out the "hen and chick and is also about to ruin my love palms. Also mist them with water once or twise a week in the beginning after that you wont need so much watering or light misting. Also remember to add more Supra stix "sticks" every second month. By then you could use half of the stick.

The guy who tried importing cork bark tubes is me. In the thread about the importing of cork bark tubes you will see that in the end it was going to be extremely expensive to import the virgin cork bark tubes. The price from the supplier in Portugal "if I remember correct" was extremely over priced, and on top of that I had to calculate in the container hire, shipping cost, import tax and normal tax once sold. Hallo SARS which would end up with me and a full container of cork bark tubes .

So the next viable solution for all is to use flat cork bark slabs found at Animal Kingdom sold at R120 per Kg. Take the piece you would want to make your tube, fill a bucket/tray or bath with the hottest water and keep the cork submerged in the water. I leave mine over night. Now look for an object you would like to wrap the cork bark around to form a tube. I used a spray paint can, and with the aid of tiebacks, and rope I wrapped the piece of cork bark around the can so that the sides touch. You don't want it to overlap. Set it out to cool down or dry out. While it is on the can apply your hot glue and you have your tubes.

You just need a person who lives close to either store buy you 1Kg of cork bark the slabs are long so it will have to be broken up and then sent to you. I need a lot more cork bark, one could never have enough
