I have a similar tank set up to yours just on a smaller scale. I had the same issue. A possible cause could be the "back board" - maybe have a closer look and make sure the water isn't trickling down the side of the recesses and draining into the substrate. - that was my issue. - water in these scenarios can be a bastard at times.

Seems like the water problem has been fixed. Plants are all growing nicely i think this is the week when fish will go in.

So time for an update again...

THERE IS LIFE IN THE TANK!!!!!

So we bought some LED lights to help the plants grow. Pretty cool as it has a remote control and we can change modes from display to growth

That LED light is really cool. Plants look awesome. I would be proud to have such a beautiful piece in my house.
