Realistically the only way to establish which species can be invasive is to issue a few permits and attempt cross breeding. This process could take years. The offspring are then culled.
The other things to consider is not all potentially invasive species will stand our extreme climates.

IcarusZulu, some spiders may be more invasive, for an example some spiders might live nicely in KZN and not in Gaueteng and vis verse.

I don't think breeding with locals is the issue, it is to see if they can and will take over and start living in SA.

So far its not in the plans as it is not "our" local. Only 2-3 species will be considered.
