Problem is not too many people can keep local species, as you know, duke. And im not too keen on posting a bite report, so not willing to try it with one of my ceratogyrus or harpactira, etc. :)
In my opinion, you cant tame a spider. :)
@mandie. So what species did you decide to try this experiment on?

well if i am going to get a bite, it might as well be from my favourite tarantula
cobalt blue ;)

Take note of my suggestion below. Consider this when you decided on a species.

Bad idea.
Rather use a species like H.maculata or a pokie.
The H.lividum will need a tank to burrow in and digging him up every few days will just stress the spider out more and make it more defensive, not to mention probably kill it due to high stress levels.

The most venomous tarantula has got to be the X. wife. This T will surely cost you an arm and a leg.:ohmy:
