no it was not about your bite report, i did not buy them in the first place for me, i usally order from someone, then i ask all the my friends if they want to order with me, and so the one guy orderd and he cancelled after i got the pokies

I have had pokies for 3 years already, and have never been bitten or even come close to being bitten by a pokie. During this time I have accidentally handled most of them and never felt like I was in any danger of recieving a bite.
Never understand this thing of people being scared of pokies??? If you give them space and respect they are just like any other tarantula. They rather run and hide than stand and fight IMO.

Just to reiterate on this, from personal experience:

My P subfusca is my most docile T. Never ONCE (even with the occasional prodding from my tweezers) has she even performed a modicum of a threat display. Just calmly walks away.

My G. pulchripes is my scariest bastard of a T. Permanently threat posing, bearing fangs, and striking at the ground.

Pokies are like pom poms compared to most T's. My 3 L. violaceopes give me one helluva time.

Just don't throw caution to the wind, and you'll be fine.

Oh ya... Curly's are boring. Keep the regalis. You won't regret it.

I'll tell you what I would do here.... swap just one of the pokies for that curly that you want so bad (providing you really are sure it's female).
I would have to agree with cerat on the pokie issue, I too have never seen any aggression from any of mine either! It's simply in the back of people's minds that their venom is more 'significant' that has people fearing them.
The spider that bit you would most likely have been the good old sac spider that bites people readily and usually in their sleep, it makes an ulcerating wound to varying degrees on different people but is generally relatively insignificant. That's 'IF' it was indeed a spider bite.
