It's despicable! like stealing from your own family...pathetic really.

Sad about the theft but unfortuantly you get all kinds in society.

I agree with Cascade on the seperate viewing room and stock to be kept away from the aution. Hendrik and myself were running around getting the stock together and people were all standing around the tabbles so we battled a bit and it would be easy to steal as nobody was watching

There is definitly a computer program or even an excel spreadsheet that would simplify the process.

But thats whats cool about life. Always room for improvement

I really wanted to be at the auction, but unfortunately ended up working until 15:30 instead of the planned 11:00.

I read about the few problems that was experienced during the auction and have a suggestion to the organizers. My family is intimately involved with the game industry and I have been at a game auction or two and would suggest that you maybe go to one, especially one arranged by Mpatamacha .

They host the best organized game auctions out there and the organizers are nice people that I'm sure will gladly assist with any info needed. And visiting an auction like this will give the T auction organizers a good perspective on what they can do to iron out the small problems they had this year.

I can but echo the sentiments expressed in this thread. Took away more than I expected (paid for them all...) but have no record of what I bought or what I paid. Would like to see the program mentioned above implemented with a printed receipt on which is listed the lot number, seller, breeder, scientific name and price. Also ebanking facility (cash is a problem on a Saturday afternoon when you get enthusiastic).

It would be even more useful to have a list of T's for sale before the auction, possibly mentioning the reserve prices, sizes and quantities, so one can steel oneself for the event. I have spoken to a number of people since who had not heard of the auction, and would have bought - other avenues for advertising or is this an in-forum event?

Cold beer would be nice - I have a very cheap venue with separate viewing area, bar, braai facilities and auction area, and parking for the next event, if required.

A venue where we aren't rushed to leave, will be great.

It was announced on facebook so I don't think it is in house.
