A better solution might be ventilation. For some reason I have not seen any mold in my cages and I use the same peat as the rest off you. Maybe also aim the water better when you refill the waterbowl.

My Antilles died a month ago, was already about 10cm big. I out her in a bigger longer cage and put drift wood in with moss. I saw fungus growing and took it out, but a few weeks after she was dead.

Add some more clues about your setup. Avics need lots of ventilation to start off with.

Here you go. It is fine and dry once received. It's a bit lighter in colour, this is just bad lighting from the flash.





I have spoken to the owner who sells the peat moss, I will just get his number and try and buy peat moss through him via my business. I know most petshops calculate their markup by multiplying the product by 2.4 :pinch: which leaves us with a retail of R19.99. It's a big bag but weighs only 240grams.
