The permits are only for Gauteng.
As for the courses, think they will only be in Gauteng for a start, unless someone wants to start one in their province connected to their nat con office.

Thanks. I thought there was a push from NatCon's side to level the playing field and standardise over all the provinces.
I must have heard wrong.

Cheers.

I'm not impossible. I'm being improbable.

All the provinces work on separate systems, so it would be unique laws to each province.
You will just have to get in contact with your local nat con office and start arranging.

I am in :) I have a slide projector if one is needed. Will donate it to the PTA training group.

I think organizing a dry run with some people "I am in" and Ian could also be beneficial. One may also provide the attendee with some small "hand book" A5 booklet with information "will find out what a full cover A5 booklet will cost . I will have a look at the British Tarantula Societies, talks they host. I think they have a few video's online, where they also use a projector to explain a few things to people.

The dry run would benefit all. and after we could have a sit down and discuss what should be improved / included etc.

the A5 booklet sounds like a good idea, I would also add a pencil and empty pages where the user can make notes

this could help to keep track of breeding info, I use my phone for all this but the booklet will be a cool thing to have none the less

I am also in to help with the organisation and presentation of this course. Can't wait, when are we having our first dry run?

Think everyone is slightly jumping the gun. :)

Some good ideas from Iclazion though.

I am first going to have a look at the course offered for snakes to get some ideas. The course material will then be set up by the people selected for the nature conservation meetings. A dry run will be run for these members then to not only train them and allow them to offer the courses, but to test and see what improvements can be made.
After that we will have courses for members to attend.
This is not going to be up and running in the next month as we would obviously like to do this properly.
Really open to any ideas and suggestions though. :)
Unless one of the other guys (Dimitri, Scarab, Hendrik, Taki, etc) see it differently?
