Hi Jake
Not to be difficult, and really don’t want to start a disagreement, but taken verbatim out of the 2013 draft copy, which I posted on this Forum;
Alien Invertebrates
59. (1) The invertebrates referred to in Schedule 9 are alien invertebrates.
(2) The invertebrates referred to in Schedule 9 do not include those species listed by the Minister in terms of section 67 of the National Environmental Management: Biodiversity Act, 2004.

(i) carry; or
(j) transport
any invertebrate belonging to a species referred to in Schedule 9.
(2) No person may without a permit –
(a) import into; or
(b) convey in or through, the Province,
any alien invertebrate for entomology, commercial or collection purposes.
(3) The restriction in subsection (2) does not apply to alien invertebrates listed as unrestricted species in Schedule 4.
(4) The MEC may, by notice in the Provincial Gazette, include any additional restrictive actions in respect of any one or more species of invertebrates referred to in Schedule 9.
Schedule 9
(Section 59(1))
Alien Invertebrates
All invertebrates alien to the Republic of South Africa, excluding those regulated and listed in terms of section 67(1) of the National Environmental Management: Biodiversity Act, 2004.
And the inverts in NEMBA are the T's and scorps as per previous discussions.
Brother, I would hate to have to argue this in court, witnesses or no witnesses. Can’t we just ask for an exemption list?
