Just get your own spider room and whatever can fit into it, you can keep. 
My wife is not bothered too much with the amount. Once upon a time I had a limit of 120 spiders, but that soon saw its ass. When the wife asked again, I was up to 200 and it was too late.
It is easier when you start breeding spiders and you can pay for new one's with the cash that you make off the others.
I have been given a lot of spiders for free from an ex friend in the hobby which I really appreciated, as well as other current friends, and have therefore spent around R5000 I guess in total over the years. Made a lot more back in selling spiders though, so for me the income has exceeded the cost at this point.

Get a 3 bedroom house. She gets a room as an office and you get the other. When she wants a 3 bedroom house again (Like my wife wants now), sell a few spiders and buy a wendy house.
