Some updates:
P.striata are pretty much all 2nd instars. A few more to moult, but should all be done by tomorrow or so.
P.fasciata are still 1st instars, but have started darkening, so should moult be next weekend.
P.formosa are mostly 3rd instars already, but still a few slow ones that I am waiting for to moult.

Rehoused the striata slings last night. Ended up with 103 babies. :)
Not a huge sac, but nice anyway. :)
The fasciata slings are extremely dark, so expecting to have a few 2nd instars by this weekend. :)
Edit: After writing this post this morning, I checked on the fasciata and the first one had moulted to 2nd instar.

Other than that, my fasciata sac that I was leaving with the female got eaten yesterday. Suppose it happens sometimes when leaving the sac full term with the female. There were a few eggs lying in the bottom of the burrow, and they looked unfertilized anyway. :(

Will be posting a thread soon listing the few pokies that I have not sold yet.

Had a quick look around the spider room tonight and saw a few little balfouri slings with mommy. :)
When they are a bit bigger, I will try and carefully get scarabs half out of the enclosure and leave mine with the mother (hopefuly) to adulthood.

Just a quick thanks to uncle scarab for all his help and donations on the matter. :)

All my fasciata slings have now moulted, so will be taking on the job of rehousing them tomorrow.

Then lastly, I will be collecting a subfusca and muticus male this weekend, so will hopefully have some good news to report in a few months time. :)

F#$@!!!!!!!
Put the male muticus in with the female. He went down her burrow and startled her a little, but managed to convince her that he is a male.
He lured her out of the burrow, lifted her up and then started tapping the bottom of her abdomen. He stretched and I think he may have gotten an insert. As soon as he left her, she nailed him through his carapace and that my dear friends is the end of Robert's muticus male. :(
Lets hope he managed to get a quick insert there.
Realy pissed, cause there are 2 more females of mine waiting, but I suppose that is just the way the cookie crumbles sometimes. :(
Lets hold thumbs. :(

No worries, it happens.
Put my newly acquired subfusca male with the female and she tried to copy the muticus female's example. Luckily managed to save him. Never seen her aggressive before, so hoping the last mating she had with my previous male was successful, which is why she didn't want to mate. Hoping anyway. :)

Ended up with 166 fasciata babies. :) they really move, and i had to chase a few around the bedroom floor to get them into their containers. :)
Half are going to Hendrik, the other half I will sell. :)
