So this morning, my miranda was busily spinning herself a nice thick hammock. Around 11:30 this morning she started depositing her eggs and when i got back home at 5 she was sitting guarding her new bundle of joy (my new bundle of joy 2). I am so stoked about this eggcase. Pretty sure its the first in sa (that i know of anyway). The female is mine and the male was scarab's.
I have been keeping the shelf that she is on pretty quiet waiting for the eggcase, so haven't had time to check on my other big females. Had a quick peek into my 2nd regalis' tank and she is also guarding a nice little bundle.
I am planning on leaving both eggcases with the females till the little 1's are big enough to fend for themselves, but will see if curiosity gets the better of me.

Not only rare in South Africa, but a very sort after Ornamental arboreal spider due to the splendid contrasts in black and white...

P.regalis slings started moulting into 1st instars last night. Should be ready to go within a month.
Other miranda and regalis sacs still looking good.
