Have you cut off the molt?
If not I think you should try remove as much of the old molt as you can, So it does not have such a drag on its self.
The molt should just break aprat now, as it is pretty moist.

Then what Scarab advised.
If you going to give him a hide/Perch, make sure there is nothing that he can get hooked on or caught up on, as he does not have legs to get himself out of trouble.

Holding thumbs for you and the spider.
next two to three molts and it will be right as rain.:)

I did cut off its molt last Wednesday, I just don't have pics of it. I was wondering, since his molt is stuck to his leg, if he molts again, won't the new leg get stuck in the 2 molts? I thinking along the lines of the older molt being MUCH smaller than the new leg would be?

Its next molt will not be normal anyway. The new legs will be smaller than the rest. There is a chance that the piece that is still stuck will ware away before the next molt. It can also be surgically removed as I suggested previously.

Just an update. I gave him a lobotomized 1/4 cricket last week. He ate it :) Then I tried getting some of his old molt off his leg because it seemed to bother him quite a bit. His L4 leg was constantly wrapped over his abdomen, I thought he was trying to get the remainder of the molt off his R4 leg. I checked up on him Saturday, he had broken off and eaten the leg!!!! So now he officially has only 2 legs left. But, at least he ate :-)

Hi Guys

Bonzai's thread made me want to post an update. He is doing just fine and eating like a monster. I don't even have to cripple the crickets anymore. I've seen him take a 3/4 cricket that still had all its legs with no issue. In this pic he has a 1/2 cricket. You can see he is getting nice and fat! Sorry for the quality... Yet another HUGE thanks to spinnerkop and scarab! You saved his life :)
