This enclosure has two glass lids, supported by the sides and overlaps slightly on the front. There is a central support as can be seen in the picture. There are four vents in each lid held in place with Silicon, the central vents also visible in the picture. The lids have Silicon hinges at the back, holding it in place and allowing easy opening. All my enclosures have glass lids, some with vents, others without. I dislike wooden lids because they do not retain their shape for long.

What prevents your Ts from lifting up the lids going on safari?

Completely unrelated question: Aren't you scared of placing rocks that size in your enclosure? If the Ts burrow underneath the rocks it could sink in and trap\squash the T, couldn't it?

The weight!? T's can lift more than their own body weight easerly
but they need a base to push off of! their feet slip on the glass
if they were to try push hard enough to lift the lid!

Swifty my love, have you read ALL my ramblings? Each rock is supported by another, or by wood, or by glass. If a wash out every grain of substrate, these rocks will stand like the Great Wall of China.

I will personally kiss the mouse brown bum of a spider lifting those lids. Furthermore, if they attempt an approach to the vents, the force required to lift it from its Silicon anchorage will be greater than its ability to hold on, sitting in an "upside down position". It's safe, I assure you. And yes, why would they want to leave paradise? Would you?
