Asking only some people to breed certain species will never work unfortunately.
Why should I have the right to make some bucks off of a species, but the next person is not allowed to?
Who says my eggcase is not a dud and we end up with no slings of that species. Unfortunately a mated female doesn't automatically end up in an eggcase.
The only solutions I see are:
1. Sell the excess spiders super cheap or give them away for free.
2. Freeze them
3. Send them overseas to Europe. Maybe speak to some members like M.Duke or PeterUK and see which of our species they could do with in their market.
I just want to make it clear that my post had nothing to do with money what so ever. I also understand what you all are trying to say. I still think it would be a good idea to open a thread where everybody can see who is breeding what. They can also then see that in 3 months or so there will be a certain specie on the market.
Will that not work or am i not thinking it through properly? I understand that if you want to breed no one has the right to stop you and all of that. It was all and all just an idea...
I think that surplus spiders should be sold at a much reduced price to new time spidey owners. I met someone the other day who wanted a T so I gave him one of my surplus to start him on the hobby. He was so grateful - until the bug hits :silly: I will be ready for any others he wishes to buy and have put him onto this site so he can have a look at what others have and he can get advice. I am happy to give away T's if there is a surplus.
