I don't think we are allowed to talk politics on this forum and I'm pretty sure all of us are aware of the candidates for idiocracy living in this 3rd world country.

How is buying a vehicle the same as buying a tarantula? Why do most dog breeders INSIST on seeing the environment the puppy will be living in before they sell it to you? I would classify that as "terms and conditions" for buying the animal ... You can therefore INSIST on seeing how the mentioned imbecile keeps his T's and then decide if he is a worthy candidate.

Perhaps it's just me, but before I sell something to someone, I have a chat with them first, establish whether or not they have the IQ required to look after the animal and THEN I complete the sale. IF I make a mistake in judgement of the person and he turns out to be an imbecile, I won't repeat my mistake of selling to him again. We are allowed to make mistakes, as long as we learn from them?

You said yourself that the only law to govern this is built into people's character, so is it possible that my moral to abstain from taking part in animal cruelty overrides my moral to be good at general economics ?

Call me crazy, just don't call me cruel ...

It is not about WHAT you buy/sell, it's the principal. Being car, dog or spider. If you sell a dog and demand to see the environment, that is a precondition. An add in the junk mail can have the same, but if it doesn't, you MUST sell to that "flaming imbecile".

There is NO way to judge a character with any initial conversation. Bullshit is the norm, and so it always will be. You might not sell to the same "flaming imbecile", but you will sell to the next, and the next and so on. "Flaming imbeciles" procreate at an astonishing and alarming rate, producing new Tarantula keepers daily.

You will never know if you are actually abstaining from taking part in animal cruelty, simply because you will never know what happens once a spider rides off into the yonder with its "non flaming imbecile". If you can always separate the wheat from the chaff, you will be innocent.

I think you have the right to sell to whom ever you want, and I have no issue with that. What does bug me a bit is how you decide who gets onto that mailing list and on what grounds you deny someone else of buying a lovely T.

Take me as an example. You don't know me and I don't know you. Due to that, does it mean I automatically get disqualified from buying from you?

Then there is the whole care giving part. I can tell you what ever I think you would want to hear (and hope and pray it works), or I can tell you that I won't do it cause I don't want to "kruip gat". Do I yet again get denied from buying from you because you don't know how I treat T's?

How would one qualify to be part of that mailing list?
Do you need references? (This is where I hope Uncle Scarab comes to my aid)
