Well I agree, and disagree. I am very picky about who I sell or donate to. The biggest reason is I DONT ever sell for the sake of needing money. The people and friends in this hobby i know best are the ones i first notify if i have something available. Carien and Armand for example is almost always keen on what i have available, and they're more likely to end up with what i have than anyone else. so yes, i do favor my friends first. Andrew for example is also high on my list, as he also always wants, and they all take very good care of their spiders.

On the other hand, if none of my contacts want, i will sometimes post in bbm groups, Facebook or here what i have available. The hobby is small enough to learn after a while who are the swindlers. There are a select few people I wont provide with spiders, the other people i don't know, well, i guess its up to each individual's effort to judge character.

Spare us/me the LAW book bullshit. Not only does it irritate me, but more so, pisses me off that "the law book" is even mentioned. Apologies to have irked you with my law book bullshit. A question was asked and I was merely trying to give input from a legal perspective as I believe it was relevant in answering the thread starters question.

I do not need to go and dig in my law books for a definition of honor, honesty, self respect or conscience, I am not a lawyer and those things were taught to me by my parents through example and capital discipline (both seriously lacking in the majority of today's society).

I have given input which I believe to be relevant to the topic and have nothing further to add.

I think the seller has the right to say no to some people.You can always say only one per person or have some limit on the stock per person.We keep tarantulas not to make money but for the love of the hobby. :thumbsup:

Then your B.smithi gives you 900 little beauties, what are you going to do? Drive to each buyer's house to inspect their T-room or call all of them to find out how they take care of their spiders? There goes the T prices again.

I say, keep it honest, if someone you don't like wants to buy your spider, just say no. You don't have to explain to anyone why you don't want to sell to them.

You will NOT get the six breeding pairs I have for sale Snarf, you are a poephol and I don't want to sell to you. You don't look after your spiders and have no experience in breeding spiders. I wanted to sell ALL my spiders to you, but now I won't... My advice to you is, piss off and buy from your friendly neighborhood Pet Shop...
