I could put them in the fridge, but the whole experiment would just be for my own selfish interests. Plus if I really wanted to test out the theory, I would have to keep all of them alive and raise them to adulthood, don't have the space or resources for that, then what do I do when I have 80+ adults.

Yes it is selfish, but i would also only want 10, the rest will even be a communal and if they survive or if only
one survives, wont phase me. Nothing lost, but personal gain. stir

Agh...

I really can't condone anything to do with hybridizing.

20 would need to be culled because of space issues etc. I know its a whole other discussion but we can't just play god like that.

It's my personal opinion. i can t convince or make anyone do or not do anything.
I personally dont see why this needs to be done and i dont see how there can even be any personal gain.

hahahaha, controversial isnt. But dont we play god often in this hobby? A spider that is dying or molting wrong, we save.
We put two spiders together to mate instead of them finding each other, we also save males instead of them get eaten
which happens more often than we think.

You allowed your own opinion, and this doesnt HAVE to be done, but more the need of curiosity.

It interests me more than the average hobbiest as i was lucky enough to purchase a hybrid and
I loved that little girl to bits. In a perfect situation, if I find the time, space and money i would give
the Hybridzing projects a real chance and pray i get 2 babies from the sac, ( male and female)

Very interesting subject. I really hope you have success with it if you do decide to do it. I would be willing to take one or two, in the name of science.

This is actually a good experiment to conduct, as it will help taxonomists greatly. For all we know, G. pulchra could turn out to be a different species, like Brachypelma and such.
If you don't understand why, basically hybridising would let us know if two tarantulas are part of the same genus by whether or not they produce offspring. If they mate and offspring are produced, then they most probably are related Genus wise, if not, then they're probably separate genuses and then taxonomists will need to relabel (or whatever the right word is, brain fart) one or the other or both.
