Yes, its very responsible of you posting on the forum all these great hybrids you plan on making :rock

Haha Thanasi good to have you back! But I guarantee no one here breeding hybrids is doing it for science, it's for their own interest.

Hopefully the ruffi video will be up soon... waiting on Dimitri....

Ok thanks for your presence we gracefully wanted, but i think you and and alot of other members are missing
the point where im coming from.

First of all I never once said, i am definetly going to do cross breeding but simply gave ideas that would interest
the average hobbiest as to see the outcome of a bizzare hybrid. I think alot of members are hypocrites in saying they
have no interest in dreaming about a possible hybrid that could Stir up some scientific speculation.

Like i said before, and if I were to 'brag' I would start my own thread labeled Dave hybrid project. My project
would consist of, if i were to try and hybridize for example Pamphobeteus Nigricolour and Vespertinus,
I would have to invest in 10 or more female of Nigricolour and Vespertinus with males for a few years
of breeding, to even make a dent in the success rate, if there is even a success rate in this project.

Are you telling me that interest is not there Thanasi? As i recall a thread that consisited of you mating your
Pulchra female with a RCF chilean rose. Clearly that was responsible of you and had nothing to do with
interest.

You right, if the moderators are doing, why cant we all Thanasi.

As most people know, I am vehemently against hybridising! However, to be totally closed minded about it is probably also wrong. Had people not crossed different dog types, we would probably have a very different looking Wikipedia List of most popular dog breeds wouldn't you say?
So my point is, there may be some scientific usefulness to hybridising but I essentially remain a purist and my own view would be not to do it and possibly mess something up!

Just for example: 'The German Shepherd breed appeared late at the end of the 19th century in Germany and they were first exhibited at a show in Hanover in 1882. They were not like German Shepherds as we know them today though being rough coated, short tailed and rather resembling mongrels. The German Shepherd Dog as we now know it didn't really appear until after the Second World War.

The breed was actually created by the cross breeding of working sheep dogs from rural Germany by an ex cavalry officer called Max von Stephanitz whose aim was to create a working dog for herding which could trot for long periods.'

That's one of the most popular and useful dogs ever!

You can take an Aphonopelma to crickets but you can't make it eat!
