I can guarantee you that i will never lend males out again to anyone other than a few close friends. If the public hobby has to suffer, well then be it. I will not be screwed over again. Whats so sad is that i know a few of the "big guys/girls" that feel exactly the same.

yeah its sad that this stuf does happen...one reason i refused to send my boys anywhere....and the 1 time i did say yes to a male going out, i had to cancel as he went down hill quick...and died shortly after.

i might be called a bitch for saying no....but in the end id rather not end up with the bs of wondering what happened.....wondering if there did come anything of the mating...wondering where in the world my male is going to WITHOUT me knowing..

its sad to think, you lend a male to someone....trusting them..and they are running deals on the side.

another good reason i am tierd of the hobby. yeah..like in exhausted

hate me for it.what eva

but it is the rotten apples in this industry that soures the experience working with people for me. and that is sad....i dont want it to be that way. but such is life.

Success is just like being pregnant ... Everybody congratulates you but nobody knows how many times you were screwed in the process

 cerat of all the males i have ever sent on the past 2 years you are the only one who ever came back to tell me there is an eggsack!!

:) gals are being sold that were mated with my boys ... or the boys die or get lost or traded and stuff ... so yeah. I'm also at the point i wont do breeding loans except with a few friends i really trust. :S which kinda sucks seeing i hav a gift for growing males!!!

 but heck - ill keep trying to see the good in people and the hobby. We all can make a difference if we choose to.

I have made some wonderful friends through the hobby too ... and no matter what i still see it as a kind of responsibility on my side to help others where i can ... whether they be good bad or ugly

Each to his or her own though ... :) :)

my hubby spoke some wise words last week to me ... i was bawling my eyes out over the loss of an eggsack. I honestly have times i also wanna disappear from the public side ... but he said that if i can just get 1 or 2 people to realise that the hobby is MORE than just about MONEY but actually about these wonderful creatures we have the privilige to own, the hobby has grown.

In any hobby there will be people that will exploit others, exploit ignorance and want to turn a fast buck. But if the ones who are serious about if for the right reasons outweigh them, there is hope yet.

Hi Everyone! Hope all are well.

This was a very sad read. But before I get too far I would like to say why I love this hobby, and I will name them in order of introduction:

1: My first Tarantula

2: Scarab - Edited my very first post saving my tush coz I made a boo-boo, and for his ever potent and witty remarks. No-one calls a spoon a spoon like Scarab on this site

3: Louwtjie - Donated my first two T's to me. B)

4: Snarf: - Helped me get my second two T's and was also kind enough to bring them to my door! Who does that these days seriously? What a gent! :woohoo:

5: Saint & his Wife: Super nice people, always helpful and follows up on anything he has to do with you. :)

6: Gemini, always ready to fire a friendly word. :)

There are more, but hopefully the picture you all see being painted here, is that these are PEOPLE who make the hobby worth every minute, never mind the awesome hobby that T keeping is.

Unfortunately PEOPLE are also behind why Cerat and other "pro's" in the hobby are feeling the way they are, and with good reason.

My feeling is that the scheisters will always come and go, but those that are truly in the hobby for the enjoyment and passion of it, will always be involved with these super cool creatures, publicly or not.

It's very sad how politics, greed and lack of respect are such common characteristics in the species that keep T's... humans.

-1,000,000's to all those in any walk of life that are scheisters.

+ 10,000,000's to all those that despite the lying, cheating and backstabbing among other tricks that are pulled, still stick to this hobby and any other hobby no matter what and build strong relationships with other that share that passion.

@Cerat, Scarab etc. You okes all have a good reason to feel the way you do, but simply in my own defence as a new keeper and I hope I speak for more genuine people out there, okes like you are the only people that can help us become like you one day.

It's very romantic, but yes...we need you. What we don't need are the scheisters.

One of the things that should be learnt within the hobby is tolerance and respect for other's opinions.

:) If people feel they need to vent, we should give them the space to do so without judging or derogatory remarks.

Just a thought.
