This is not a hobby/tarantula issue Cerat, it is a human issue and you will always get
these poepolle in every aspect of life. The only advise I can give is to sift the
okes you're dealing with according to their morals and not their collection.

It's still a sad story to be done in by someone you trusted, but try to
focus on the good guys in the hobby!

I've had my T now for about 3 weeks. My first.
Thought I would join a forum and start to learn, get to know people and talk.

It's sad that some people will take advantage of other people like that, but saying that, such is life. There are bound to be good people out there, and once a partnership is set up, I think that will turn out much more lucrative than a "leaching partnership"...

But, first day here... Well, first 5min here haha.

For those out there who are kind and loyal, I hope to get to meet you guys and tap your head for info

I'm going to do what I can to make this worth while for more than just me.

Hi Cerat, I know the feeling. Have you ever been involved in birds? I once bought a clinically sexed breeding pair of Cockatoos with eggs. They turned out to be two males, and two nice Bantam chicks hatched from the eggs! I had to take the seller to court, but he emigrated before justice was served.

Careful careful there mate. That's all I'm good for, helping newcomers is something I love to do, but I tell you, no matter how "elder" I get, the more some people disgust me. But like my wise wife said, it's not a tarantula issue, it's a human issue...

Hey Cerat & others.

I’ve been around for a while now, and I have to admit that even I have been somewhat quiet of late - but I’m trying to correct the matter.

I have gotten to know some really good people on the old&this forum (especially the group that helped 'run' things) and in the hobby in general, and some really big douchbags, but that is just the way it is.

While I might not have been very active as of late, I am still trying to find ways of contributing to the hobby ("the hobby as I see it") and to the people who take part in said hobby. There are always going to be "brown nosing KNOW IT ALL hypocrites who love stabbing people in the back" but there are also going to be really good people who care.

So, maybe take a step back, look at the situation, and then go with what you believe in - help those that help you and the community, ignore the idiots that don’t, and make of the hobby what you would like it to be - So far it is working for me...

If anyone ever needs help, I'm more than willing to help, as most of you know. Anyway, as a side note: Just a quick thx to all the people I've met here and who have helped both me and the hobby - Cerat, Scarab, Froot, Raven, Johan, Spoq and all the other I’ve left out from the 'old' days...
