I've seen various coloured highland and lowlands as far back as 7 years ago when they were first imported into the country from Germany. I totally agree with Cerat, i don't believe there is a valid distinction between the two, they are only currently being seperated depending on colour and not true genetic differences. They have probably been so interbred everywhere in the world anyway that they are all the same spiders anyway. I dont think that they should be a seperate species anyway, spiders do vary in colour depending on where they are found. This same debate concerns the rosea and many Avicularias, so good luck to the person who can come up with a definitive answer.
